We’re sitting half asleep waiting in the airport. It’s been a nice trip, although i haven’t drawn as much as i thought i would. All drawings i’ve done here have been really quick- i think that i can conclude that i need to spend some more time on spontanous real-life drawing. I feel like i got a lot out of drawing the jazz band for example.

It’s awesome to see you improving! The perspectives are way better 🙂 To take a step further, I suggest you to focus on the tone – the key to make things look realistic. Try practise shading, in your case, try to make sure when you shade, there aren’t gaps between the sqiggly bits. To make it even harder, make sure that the tone is constant on the same surface of the object when you shade (unless there is lighting).
Thanks for your comment and suggestions! And it’s nice that you can see an improvement!
NP. Btw, when shading I’d also recommend you to experiment with different shading techniques/mark-making (eg hatching, cross hatching, etc.) Depending on the texture you want to portray, then maybe stick with your favourite one. Please keep drawing 🙂
