After drawing the horse and rider yesterday, Tom, who’s the photographer behind these pictures revealed to me that he’s got a cat-blog also. I decided that this was a good time to do a cat-drawing, so I picked this photo of his cat, Chub-Chub running in the grass. I’m pretty happy about it. My only worry is that it might lack a little dynamism and that some people, instead of seeing the cat in motion, sees the cat as standing still.. in that position.. It could look like the cat is doing some of it’s nature business. Next time I’ll add horizontal speed-lines like they do in cartoons when cars drive really fast.
Oh and by the way – Tom’s looking for more cat-artwork, so if you’re up for drawing cats, then check this link
very nice~ lol @nature business
Thanks a lot đŸ™‚

Are you drawing your ballpoint ink lines first and then watercoloring over them?
