369 Two rickshaws in the streets of Dhaka, Bangladesh

2015-02-25bI did manage to squeeze in a few minutes for a quick watercolor sketch, because I really wanted to do this one.
It’s a scene from google street view that I painted for a site that invites you to discover a country by painting streetview pictures! – It’s called “The Virtual Paintout” and it asks you to paint on different locations every month. A really cool concept i think – I’m going to send the drawing to the site straight away to have it included!

These kind of things are really really hard to get right! I’m a big fan of Maxine Dodd’s bisycle watercolors but I’ve got a long way to go, to do them like her!

Anyway – that’s all for now.. I’m off to the virtual paintout – then to bed.

  1. Your watercolour is great! It really captures the sense of movement. That sounds like a really fun project to participate in. As a family historian, I use Google Street View a lot in order to wander around the places my ancestors lived. If I was a landscape painter, I would be quite tempted to join in.
