This is Tom Thabane, the prime minister of Lesotho – a country of 2 million inhabitants. It is completely surrounded by South African territory. Sadly it would appear that the country is in some kind of political conflict. Read more on wikipedia.
He proved very difficult to paint. When you look closely at the wrinkles for instance, they’re not very good, but from a distance, I think it’s alright.
