His chin sort of jumps out of the picture, and maybe the red was not the best colour for the background, but other than that, I’m really happy about this one. The goal was to try and do something with a lot of highlights, and i think it went well.

I find it helps to stick with something related to the background colour it really helps keep the composition. You got him though well done
Do you mean the background colour in the original photo? I was thinking in the terms of a complimentary color to his skintone, but it didnt really work out !
