Commissioned drawing of three cats in watercolor and ballpoint pen
Here’s my most recent commissioned drawing of three cats. The owner wanted to get them all together in a painting as a keepsake, but since one of them has passed away, the composition had to be made out of individual photos.
I’m fairly happy about the result, but I have yet to hear the owner’s opinion !
Come see this tripple-portrait of three cats on my portfolio site as well!
This was my 671th drawing since the 9th September 2014!

Wonderful job Thomas….this triple portrait will mean even more to the owner now that one of the group has passed away.

Thank you ! I think it turned out pretty good actually! But it all depends on the quality of the photos that I have to work with. The “photocollage” is not exactly beautiful in itself, but its a great help.

Well done, watercolor is always hard but you made it look easy.

Haha! That’s so nice of you to say 😉 It IS hard, though, and I rely a lot on the pen drawing to “carry” the picture. When I do watercolor w/o the ballpoint pen, I’m not nearly as pleased with the results.

People don’t realize the load you have to carry with pen, ink & watercolor. You pull if off effortlessly. Paws crossed the owner loves it as much as we do.
