Drawing of a cat called Binky in ballpoint pen and india ink
This is how it turned out!
Just as I started drawing, the neighbors suddenly began drilling in the walls! (8’o clock in the morning!) It was very loud and irritating and it resulted in Binky going halfway outside of the frame.. His face also ended up a little too heavy.
Although it is a little lacking composition and precision-wise, I’m really happy about the looseness of it and I think that the India ink worked well in combination with the ballpoint pen in this one.
It’s hard to control how “black” to go when the brush is first dipped into the ink, so this time i tried to tone the background a little each time in order to get rid of the surplus ink, and then afterwards go in and tone the fur with a less saturated brush. I think it worked quite well.
I’m really happy about all the requests that I am getting and that everyone seems to enjoy these drawings I’m doing of people’s pets and kangaroos. I get many requests each day though.. Five or more – and I only have the time to draw one or two per day.. I think that I can predict that if it continues this way, I’ll soon have way too many request that i could possibly answer to.. On the other hand I don’t feel like refusing anyone..
I wonder if anyone has any clever ideas?
That was drawing number 445!
