388 Portrait of Petro Poroshenko, the president of Ukraine in pen and watercolor
This is Petro Poroschenko, the president of Ukraine. One of the “Rulers of the World” that I’ve been tip-toing around for a while.
This is with a kind of ballpoint pen, that I have previously used for writing. It’s very very thin for a ballpoint pen, though. When using fineliners or pens with a felt tip, I alway end up breaking for wearing down the tip long before the ink is spent, which irritates me. That’s largely why I wanted to experiment with this other thing. It doesn’t really seem water resistent! The line doesn’t get completely dilluted either, but it seems to tone down the watercolor a little bit. I don’t think it’s a big problem for now.. Maybe if i want to do a really light drawing with color, I need to use something a little more water proof though.
All in all, I’m pretty happy about this drawing.. I think it turned out pretty damn well. Good times!
And the photo is here
Yes, it did!!! The guy really looks that way, and I think the colors are nice, they match each other!

You can see the mind busy at work behind the eyes. This combo works well I think.

Kirkistan like. For me the lines add a lot. The shading and coloring are great.
