Eddie Calvo is the governor of Guam
Yes, govenor.. The president of Guam is someone called Obama – but Guam has it’s own parliment and it’s not a state of the US and so on, so I decided to put Mr. Calvo into the mix. Congratulation to you, sir.
Guam’s indigenous people have been there for 4000 years, but the last 3-400 years, the island has been tossed around between various occupying powers.
Lovely portrait. I know nothing about Mr Calvo but your painting captures and conveys the warm personality suggested by the original photo.
