Do you think your architecture training makes you more observant when drawing buildings? You certainly show all the details. I like the use of open space here too.
Maybe.. It takes a lot of time, that’s for sure.. I’d like to do some less detailed drawings too, just decribing the volumes and shadows, but i think it’s hard to chose which details to include and which not to draw.. On the real scene there is a parked car, and some workers materials that I left out, but when it comes to the buildings, it’s much harder, because the ornamentation and the types of windows for example, play a role in the atmosphere of the place…Anyway, this is actually the site where i plan to design my master “thesis” project.
I was gonna say, you seem to be quite strong when it comes to drawing architecture, which makes total sense. It’s something I’ve been avoiding trying out myself.
On another note, I recently visited Denmark (although not Århus), & your city drawings are making me miss it!
Copenhagen, a couple months ago! I have some friends living there. It was great! I only got around to different parts of Zealand, though (plus 2 day trips Helsingborg & Ven), so I really want to go back at some point & travel to different parts of the country.
I hope you will! Copenhagen is the only big city, though – But we have a couple of charming towns aswell in Jylland and Fyn too – But it’s another kind of tourism.

Hi, thanks! Where in Denmark did you go? How did you like it?
